What will you be doing?
As a Trainee Service & Maintenance Technician at our Carlisle, Dumfries or Penrith dealership, you'll complete a structured two-year training programme designed to develop your skills and knowledge under the guidance of experienced, fully qualified Technicians.
During your training, you will
- Learn how to diagnose vehicle faults, developing the skills and confidence to carry out diagnostics independently.
- Assist with and progressively carry out routine servicing and maintenance inspections to manufacturer and industry standards.
- Work towards becoming fully competent in carrying out full vehicle inspections and achieving the nationally recognised IRTEC qualification.
- Attend manufacturer training courses delivered by DAF Trucks , alongside practical, hands-on workshop experience.
- Develop an understanding of safe working practices and workshop procedures.
- Build the technical skills required to service, maintain and repair commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.
