Rapidly expanding insurance company with global operations and a focused niche in a high growth area of insurance. Based in the City with 4 days per week in the office, our client focuses on complex product lines and a digitized operating model that enables them to offer exceptional customer service and capacity to clients around the world. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced litigation lawyer seeking a new challenge, to work closely alongside the company's existing ATE underwriting experts, applying knowledge and skills developed in private practice to take a meaningful role in building the company's global ATE insurance portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse ATE insurance proposals (typically including Counsel's opinions, statements of case, expert reports and inter partes correspondence) and liaise with the proposer's broker.
- Present findings and conclusions to lead ATE underwriter.
- Determine appropriate insurance terms and premium.
- Tailor ATE insurance policies.
- Establish, grow and manage relationships with ATE production and distribution sources and other key stakeholders.
Skills and Experience:
- Litigation lawyer with 6+ years of experience managing own caseload and determining strategy.
- Ability to review, analyse and assess the merits of litigation.
- Currently working at a leading law firm or in-house at a litigation funder, an insurance company, a bank or other financial institution, and keen to join an expanding and entrepreneurial company in a commercially focused role that uses your legal litigation skills.
