This is a fantastic opportunity for an Associate or Senior Associate looking to progress their career in a team that is known for a balanced work and home life. They are dedicated lawyers who feel passionately about their work but prioritise home life. If an Associate, you will be guided toward a Senior Associate role, and if a Senior Associate, you'll be mentored toward Legal Director in due course. The focus will be on your progression.
You will work within a team that manages a variety of work for defendant clinical negligence clients, including NHS Resolution and insurer/medical malpractice clients. They are award-winning, having received major recognition over the last few years, and are very proud of it.
Responsibilities:
- Run a caseload of clinical negligence files
- Draft reports
- Interview witnesses
- Draft witness statements
- Instruct experts and counsel
- Attend court for case management conferences and application hearings
- Negotiate settlements
- Hold conferences with counsel
- Prepare for and attend trials and mediations
