Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the firm's Contentious Trusts & Probate practice
- Manage a varied caseload including will disputes, Inheritance Act claims, trust disputes, and estate administration conflicts
- Drive business development initiatives and grow a sustainable pipeline of work
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, intermediaries, and referrers
- Mentor, manage, and develop junior lawyers and contribute to team succession planning
- Collaborate with other departments to maximise cross-referral opportunities
- Contribute to the firm's strategic direction as part of the wider leadership team
Qualifications
- A qualified solicitor with significant experience in contentious trusts and probate matters
- Strong technical expertise with a track record of handling complex, high-value disputes
- Proven business development and client relationship skills
- Experience managing and developing teams, with a genuine interest in mentoring others
- Commercially minded, with the ability to identify opportunities and drive growth
- An engaging and personable communicator who builds trust with clients and colleagues alike
