This is a fantastic opportunity for an Associate or Senior Associate looking to progress their career – in a team that balances work and home life. They are dedicated lawyers who feel passionately about their work, but prioritise home life – and it works.
If an Associate, you will be guided towards a Senior Associate role, and if a Senior Associate, you’ll be mentored towards Legal Director in due course. The focus will be on your progression.
You will work within a team that manages a variety of work for defendant clinical negligence clients, including NHS Resolution and insurer/medical malpractice clients. They are award‑winning, having received major recognition over the last few years – of which they are very proud.
You will run a caseload of clinical negligence files, including:
- drafting reports
- interviewing witnesses
- drafting witness statements
- instructing experts
- instructing counsel
- attending court for case‑management conferences and application hearings
- negotiating settlements
- holding conferences with counsel
- preparing for and attending trials and mediations
