This is a full-time, remote working from home, Insurance Account Handler. Our office is based in Penarth just outside of Cardiff. With flexible working hours and support from our Penarth based office this is a fantastic opportunity to work from home for a well established commercial insurance broker.
The successful Insurance Account Handler will be experienced with Acturis insurance software and manage a portfolio of commercial clients, handling day-to-day queries, policy adjustments, documentation, and mid-term changes. Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and processing renewals
- Obtaining and comparing quotations
- Liaising with insurers to secure suitable cover and competitive terms
- Providing proactive customer service
- Responding promptly to client enquiries
- Maintaining accurate records in line with regulatory and internal compliance requirements
- Collaborating closely with account managers and brokers
- Supporting new business activity
- Helping identify opportunities to improve cover, efficiency, and client satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Strong client-facing skills across Customer Service and Account Management, with the ability to build trust and maintain long-term relationships.
- Practical experience in Insurance and Insurance Brokerage, ideally within a broker or intermediary environment.
- Proven ability to manage Renewals, including gathering information, negotiating terms, and presenting clear recommendations to clients.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and record keeping.
- Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize workloads and handle multiple client accounts simultaneously.
- Comfortable using Acturis insurance software and Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of FCA or relevant regulatory requirements, or willingness to learn and adhere to regulatory standards.
- CII qualifications (or progress toward them) and prior experience in UK general insurance are highly beneficial.
