Mott MacDonald Bentley brings together the design expertise of Mott MacDonald and the contracting experience of JN Bentley to deliver award‑winning projects across the water and wastewater industry. This role is based at our Shifnal office, West Midlands, and will support projects throughout all phases from feasibility to construction.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of multidisciplinary design for projects and programmes.
- Develop and mentor the team to achieve project outcomes, fostering engagement and empowerment.
- Produce detailed designs that meet construction needs and client acceptance while managing cost and programme.
- Challenge engineering solutions to ensure the best value for clients.
- Provide direction on project controls, ensuring adherence to quality, programme and cost requirements.
- Maintain positive client relationships at project level.
- Drive the development of affordable low‑carbon solutions, managing opportunities and risks.
Candidate Specification
- Qualified design engineer (ideally Chartered, professionally qualified, or actively pursuing such status).
- Experience in outline and detailed design of water and/or wastewater projects.
- Knowledge of Designer or Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015.
- Proactive and pragmatic approach to problem solving.
