As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB), you will work in a creative and challenging environment, delivering a wide range of projects across our United Utilities framework. MMB is one of seven partners supporting United Utilities in delivering £3bn worth of upgrades to critical infrastructure assets, including water and wastewater treatment sites, pumping stations, and reservoirs within the North West during the AMP8 period.
Your responsibilities as a Senior Mechanical Engineer include:
- Leading the interfaces and integration of the mechanical design with other disciplines.
- Managing, reviewing, and preparing mechanical design deliverables such as calculations, drawings, documentation, schedules, specifications, and reports to balance project constraints.
- Providing quality assurance through checks and reviews of work by others.
- Supporting the development of the mechanical engineering team by coaching and mentoring junior engineers and identifying appropriate resources for projects.
Candidate specifications:
- Qualified Mechanical Engineer (preferably Chartered or Incorporated).
- Experience in water or wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure design.
