Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) are recruiting for their successful ‘DfMA and standardisation’ team to develop Standard Products and accelerate their integration into our framework design teams. We are looking for technically strong Mechanical Engineers to join the team and lead the design of a wide range of standardised water and wastewater assets.

Role Responsibilities

  • Be part of a unique team establishing best practice across multiple frameworks.
  • Help shape the technical quality and delivery of MMB’s design outputs.
  • Work in a multi-disciplinary team delivering high-quality standard products – encompassing 3D models, standard 2D designs and key documents & deliverables.
  • Determine optimum standard products for cost, time, quality, safety, carbon and buildability.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from across our business (site operations, procurement, commercial) and our supply chain.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background – water & wastewater treatment processes & assets, pumping, screening, valving.
  • Experience producing standard deliverables – P&IDs, mechanical GAs, calculations, control philosophy, HAZOPs, schedules and specifications.
  • Appreciation and knowledge of related disciplines – electrical and ICA, process.
  • Knowledge of industry and client specifications.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or directly related subject).
  • Professionally qualified or working towards professional qualification with IMechE or relevant Institution.
  • UK water and/or wastewater experience.
