Together, we deliver best-in-class solutions to our clients while offering diverse and technically stimulating opportunities to our people.Overview of the role Following recent framework successes, we are expanding our multidisciplinary Water Division and have exciting opportunities for Senior Associate Civil Engineers to join our teams in Manchester, Leeds, or Liverpool.Our work spans a broad and diverse portfolio of water‐related design projects, including:Water treatmentWastewater recyclingIndustrial process waterHydropowerFlood defence and resilienceWe support every stage of the project lifecycle — from feasibility and optioneering through detailed design, construction support, commissioning, and final handover.As part of our team, you will contribute specialist technical expertise to colleagues across our global business, giving you the chance to work on varied, high‐profile, and technically challenging assignments. Our clients include most UK water utility companies, as well as governmental organisations and private‐sector partners in the UK and internationally.Responsibilities Key responsibilities and duties include:Working across several different UK water authorities, with a main focus on United Utilities as a key clientWorking as part of multi-disciplinary design teams in project deliveryReview of design submissions to ensure compliance with contract requirementsUndertaking studies, concept, preliminary and detailed designInterfacing and liaising with clients and other stakeholdersMentoring and contributing to the development of other staffProviding leadership and mentoring to other civil engineers, you will be responsible for checking and reviewing design documents and providing technical direction to projectsUsing your experience and expertise you will ensure that designs are fit for purpose and meet current legislation and standardsYou will lead the integration of the civil design with that of other disciplinesYou will work in close partnership with clients and contractors, building strong relationships that will enhance the company\’s reputation and help secure further workCivil Engineering degree or other relevant degreeChartered (ICE or equivalent)Experience of leading engineering design and/or multi-disciplinary design teams on water or wastewater projectsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsUnderstanding of the importance of prioritising health, safety, and environmental issuesProactive approach, with an ability to adapt to changing scenariosContributed towards the identification and development of low carbon solutionsUK Immigration Mott MacDonald Ltd. are not currently offering sponsorship to candidates under the Skilled Worker visa route in the UK.
