The Energy unit delivers services to clients globally across sectors including hydropower, nuclear, waste, renewable generation and transmission. Defence and Civil division are recruiting Principal Process Engineers to join our fast-growing team. The roles are technically focused and include all stages of front end engineering from feasibility to detailed design. You will be involved in multi-discipline projects and be responsible for liaising with clients to develop the best solutions to meet their needs. Along with producing a range of design and technical documentation, visit client sites as necessary, and pursue and promote further opportunities with the client.

You will be responsible for providing quality assurance of others' work by surveillance and checking and therefore chartered status is preferred, although demonstration of progress and equivalent experience will be considered. Chartered status with the IChemE or other relevant professional body is required.

  • Lead process engineering aspects of multi-discipline design projects
  • Possess a broad knowledge of industry standards and legislation
  • Be able to present and defend solutions to complex problems to clients
  • Ensure safety is an integral part of process engineering design
  • Technical chemical/process engineering experience
  • Demonstrable experience in process engineering design
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to adapt and work on multiple projects
  • Client-facing experience as well as a commercial awareness of FEED projects
  • Able to actively seek input from other engineers, specialists, facility and project team members to improve understanding and deliver fit for purpose solutions
