About the business unit: Mott MacDonald’s Advisory and Programme Delivery (APD) unit delivers both project, programme & commercial management (PPCM) services and advisory solutions across various sectors.

Overview of the role: We are looking for a Principal Social Value Consultant to deliver meaningful impact through our projects and help us develop our social advisory offering. You would join our growing social value team, driving the delivery of social value across our projects.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Work with colleagues to embed social value delivery into contracts and project delivery.
  • Manage and supervise the work of other staff and coach more junior colleagues.
  • Support the development of a social value consultancy offer.
  • Manage and deliver a range of social value projects.
  • Work closely with bid teams to respond to tendering requirements.
  • Drive and feed into the continuous improvement around Mott MacDonald’s social value approach.
  • Support upskilling and capacity building across the UK business.
  • Be client facing with accountability for key customer relationships.

A strong understanding of Social Value including relevant legislation and experience in the social value field is required. Excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, creativity, and a proactive attitude towards innovation are essential.
