We help conceive, drive, and implement transport solutions for cities, regions, and asset owners/operators around the globe. Our planning, engineering, environmental and management skills cover the whole project cycle. We play a major role in developing and delivering the Global Transport Sector Strategy.
About the role
Our Human Factors team, which includes qualified ergonomists, applied psychologists, and safety/risk engineers, is a Registered Consultancy of the UK Chartered Institute of Ergonomics & Human Factors (CIEHF). We are looking for a Human Factors Engineer to join our team. The human factors team is involved in a variety of exciting projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading human factors elements of work on multidisciplinary engineering projects
- Writing and providing reports on work you’ve conducted
- Initiating and supporting bid activities
- Guiding and nurturing early career professionals within the team as well as supervising their work
- Managing discipline specific projects
- Promoting the human factors team and capabilities
Candidate specification
As an experienced human factors or ergonomics professional within a consultancy environment, you’re comfortable working independently and making commercial choices to meet client needs. You will also be able to demonstrate the following:
- An undergraduate degree in Psychology (or equivalent)
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary consultancy
- Ability to liaise with external clients and colleagues
- Good report writing skills
Although not essential, if you are chartered with a relevant professional institution or working towards your chartership this would be advantageous as would any experience supporting, developing and leading a team.
