About The Role
You will play a key role in managing and delivering projects for the nuclear industry, contributing to technical excellence, and collaborating with a successful team across the UK. To deliver an exciting portfolio of nuclear, defence, and other energy and infrastructure projects, you will tackle complex challenges in a collaborative and forward‑thinking environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and execute electrical building services work on projects, following company and project procedures.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, meet project schedules, and stay within budget.
- Scope and plan electrical building services work for various projects.
- Lead and mentor electrical building services teams across our project portfolio.
- Provide input into project planning and execution, including budgeting and manpower requirements.
- Assign tasks with clarity on scope, quality, and deadlines.
- Review and approve deliverables to ensure they meet required standards.
- Attend engineering meetings and liaise with clients and other disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including CDM, safety, environmental, and site license conditions.
- Review and check the work of other engineers.
- Participate in design reviews and HAZOPS, providing expert advice.
- Collaborate with project and engineering managers and maintain strong client relationships.
Requirements
- Experience influencing engineering practices and outcomes.
- Extensive engineering design experience within a regulated industry (preferably nuclear).
- Previous experience supervising engineering staff.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of building regulations, legislation, and standards.
- Proficiency in Hevacomp, Dialux, Amtech Power, AutoCAD, and IES (Revit experience is a plus).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Degree in a technical or engineering‑related subject (preferred).
- Chartered status and membership in a professional body (preferred).
