Overview of the role
The Finance Systems team are responsible for the maintenance, enhancement, deployment and training of Finance IT tools, including our ERP. We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Coordinator to support the delivery of finance systems and transformation projects. This role will provide hands‑on experience in project coordination and governance, working closely with Project Managers, Finance SMEs and IT teams.
Key responsibilities and duties
- Project Coordination: Support planning and coordination of project activities and track timelines and deliverables.
- Project Governance & Reporting: Maintain documentation including project plans, RAID logs, action logs and status reports. Support preparation of governance packs.
- Meeting & Stakeholder Support: Organise meetings, capture minutes and actions, track follow‑ups and support communication with stakeholders.
- Risk & Issue Support: Assist with identifying, logging and tracking risks, issues and dependencies, and escalating where appropriate.
- General Support: Provide administrative support, manage multiple tasks and contribute to continuous improvement of project processes.
Qualifications
- Experience in a relevant discipline such as Business Management, Finance, IT or Project Management.
- Proven ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, with strong communication and engagement skills.
- Good understanding of IT and business processes, and how these integrate within a structured project delivery environment.
- Experience in a project coordination or PMO support role, with exposure to project governance activities (e.g. RAID logs, plans, reporting).
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint.
- Interest in finance systems or digital transformation.
- Familiarity with project financials, budgeting, or benefits tracking.
- Awareness of project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2/APM).
