As a key member of the Ports, Coastal and Offshore (PCO) team, you will influence the success of our projects by contributing to outcomes that exceed client expectations. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Coastal Engineer to lead and support projects focused on coastal resilience, climate adaptation and maritime infrastructure. Projects cover coastal zone management, coast protection, offshore/marine renewables and cable installation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage coastal resilience and climate adaptation projects, including economic and feasibility studies, coastal process analysis, metocean and hydrodynamic investigations, asset management, detailed design and construction documentation.
  • Provide mentorship to junior team members.
  • Support business development and bidding activities.
  • Deliver technical leadership and project management of deliverables.

Essential Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical equivalent.
  • Experience working in Coastal Engineering in a consultancy environment.
  • Demonstrated project leadership experience.
  • Strong written communication skills; comfortable writing reports and delivering presentations.
  • Experience delivering coastal engineering projects using innovative and digitally-driven techniques.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in business development, including client liaison and bid preparation.
  • Chartered with a relevant professional institution such as ICE, IStructE or CIWEM, or equivalent experience.
  • Willingness to travel overseas for project assignments.
  • Excellent networking and collaborative skills with multi-disciplinary teams; enjoy building relationships with stakeholders.
