The Water Utilities Division is expanding to meet growing project demands and is seeking Senior Electrical & Control Engineers to join our multidisciplinary team. Projects span the full design lifecycle from feasibility studies to detailed design, construction support, commissioning, and handover.

Key responsibilities

  • Electrical power distribution design (LV and HV)
  • Design and specification of communications networks and SCADA
  • Specifying renewable and back‑up generation systems
  • Cabling and installation design
  • Instrumentation selection
  • Factory and site acceptance tests of equipment
  • Mentoring other electrical engineers, developing and checking designs, and providing technical direction to projects
  • Ensuring designs meet current legislation and standards and are fit for purpose
  • Integrating the electrical & control design with other disciplines

Qualifications

  • HND level or higher in electrical, electronic or control engineering or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Chartered status with a recognized Professional Institution (or willingness to pursue)
  • Experience in electrical & control engineering design/consultancy within the water and/or wastewater industry
  • Strong communication skills to interact with other disciplines and clients
  • Willingness to contribute to and develop technical knowledge networks
  • A drive to stay abreast of professional development and emerging technical solutions
  • Understanding of prioritising health, safety, and environmental issues
  • Capability to manage design delivery and projects
  • Good understanding of pipeline hydraulics and/or water and wastewater treatment processes
