Overview of the role
As a management consultant in our strategic advisory business you’ll help our clients navigate complex challenges, unlock opportunities, and deliver lasting value - beyond capital project delivery. As a Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering measurable value for our clients. We anticipate most commissions to be undertaken in client facing roles with other roles to support internal assignments. Our vision is "To deliver value for society" through our Transformation & Business Change advisory services to our clients, utilising our expertise in business case development, innovation management, business change, collaboration, digital, organisational design and operational improvement.
Experience and capability requirements
- Leads and delivers multiple, medium complexity Change and Transformation assignments without supervision.
- Authors and starting to quality assure key client documentation such as proposals; initiative scoping, planning and resourcing; progress reports; outcome reports etc.
- Conducts analysis to evidence gaps identified against good practice and starting to provide related advice direct to clients.
- Demonstrates commercial awareness ranging from involvement in commercial management of projects and business development.
- Engage in the design, development and adoption of digital tools and techniques to evolve how consultancy services are delivered.
- Demonstrates emotional and cultural intelligence skills.
- Aware of styles and methods of communication and matching these to the requirements of different audiences.
- Participates in Practice (technical capability) development through 1:1 and/or group coaching/training.
Essential
- Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification, or equivalent professional experience.
- Significant experience working within one or more of our teams’ service lines.
- Ability to work in teams and with a wide range of individuals.
Desirable
- Associate or Chartered Management Consultant (AChMC/ChMC).
- Knowledge of the UK’s major infrastructure investment plans.
