Job Description
At Mott MacDonald, we believe in nurturing potential and creating space for people to thrive. Our Industrial Placement Programme is designed for curious and proactive students who are ready to explore, grow, and make a meaningful impact.
The closing date for this programme is 31st December 2025 and you will receive an update on your application in January or February 2026. Our industrial placements last 10-12 months.
Whether you\’re taking a year out from university or stepping into the world of work before pursuing postgraduate study, this is your opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in one of our diverse and innovative teams.
Our placements are as unique as you are, offering opportunities across Buildings, Energy, Transport, and Water & Environment sectors. You’ll work alongside graduates, experienced professionals, and fellow students, learning from a variety of perspectives while immersing yourself in our inclusive culture and values.
From day one, you’ll be encouraged to contribute to real projects that matter. We don’t follow a rigid structure – we want you to take ownership of your journey. The more you engage, ask questions, and get involved, the more you’ll gain.
Candidate Specification
To join us for an industrial placement you must currently be enrolled on a degree course at university. If you are graduating in 2026 with no plans to enrol on a further course, we encourage you to explore our graduate opportunities.
