As a Senior Quantity Surveyor working within this unit, you will contribute to multi-disciplinary projects for a diverse portfolio of clients - including the Environment Agency, Associated British Ports (ABP), Rolls Royce, Canal and River Trust, the Mining Remediation Authority, National Grid, Cadent Gas, P&G and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), as well as local authorities. These projects range from flood alleviation, water treatment and infrastructure construction to industrial buildings and gas network upgrades. You will be involved throughout the entire project life cycle, from early contractor involvement, optioneering, tender negotiation through to the design, procurement, construct, commissioning and handover of schemes. You will ensure that our projects are financially viable, legally compliant, and completed to the required standards. Your role as Senior Quantity Surveyor includes: Ensuring robust cost management processes are in place, providing accurate and timely reports, data, and analysis to assist in commercial decisions. Working closely with the delivery team to identify, implement, and monitor efficiency plans throughout the project lifecycle. Actively challenge team members to drive best value for clients in project delivery. Ensuring all project team members understand the contractual arrangements to meet client requirements. Supporting our clients to maximise opportunities and mitigate risks to help deliver successful outcomes. Influencing and advising on the contractual and commercial aspects of schemes to ensure robust project control.
