Overview
In this Senior Civil Engineer role at Mott MacDonald Bentley you will contribute to major water and wastewater schemes from feasibility through construction. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver fit-for-purpose designs, support client engagement, and ensure adherence to standards. You will drive delivery improvements, perform technical reviews, and mentor junior engineers. Responsibilities
- Provide design support and ensure schemes meet current legislation and standards
- Collaborate with commercial, operational and construction teams to develop practical, safe solutions
- Engage with clients, supporting them in achieving objectives with a one-team approach
- Manage interfaces between civil design and other disciplines; produce integrated documentation
- Act as technical checker and conduct reviews across projects
- Identify opportunities to improve delivery, including standard designs, sustainable solutions, and digital tools
- Conduct site reviews to verify buildability and integration with existing systems
- Support development of civil engineering team through mentoring and resource planning
Key requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field
- Chartership (CEng) with a relevant Engineering Institution
- Experience delivering high-quality outputs compliant with design, quality and safety standards
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites within the regional area
