Civil / Senior Civil Engineer (DfMA and Standardisation)
Mott MacDonald Bentley (MMB) are forming a new ‘DfMA and standardisation’ team to accelerate the integration of DfMA and standard products into our highly successful design teams. We are looking for technically strong Civil Engineers to join the team and lead the civil design of a wide range of standardised water and wastewater assets.
Do You Want To
- Be part of a unique team establishing best practice across multiple frameworks.
- Help shape the technical quality and delivery of MMB’s design outputs.
- Work in a multi-disciplinary team delivering high-quality standard products – encompassing 3D models, standard 2D designs and key documents & deliverables.
- Determine optimum standard products for cost, time, quality, safety, carbon and buildability.
- Collaborate with colleagues from across our business (site operations, procurement, commercial) and our supply chain.
Candidate Specification
We Require
- Strong technical background – hydraulic, structural design, geotechnics, temporary works, water & wastewater treatment processes.
- Knowledge of industry and client specifications.
- Degree in Civil Engineering (or directly related subject).
- Professionally qualified or working towards professional qualification with ICE or relevant Institution.
- UK water and/or wastewater experience.

Mott MacDonald Bentley is a joint venture business, established in 1999 between civil engineering contractor JN Bentley and global management consultancy, Mott MacDonald.
Mott MacDonald Bentley offers fully integrated design and build services to its clients, combining the contracting expertise of JN Bentley and the design specialisms of Mott MacDonald.
This role is employed by Mott MacDonald but will involve working across the joint venture business, both with Mott MacDonald and JN Bentley colleagues.
