We have been named a partner on a new AMP8 framework with United Utilities, which will extend our relationship for at least the next five years. The partnership is set to be responsible for over £3 bn of major infrastructure in the North West of England, including upgrades to wastewater treatment works and the delivery of the largest spill reduction programme in the UK that protects more than 500 km of rivers and bathing waters.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and support development of the Enterprise social value strategy.
- Identify project and framework social value commitments and KPIs.
- Identify local needs and plan and deliver project‑specific plans.
- Build and manage relationships with Enterprise partners, and work closely with the Lead Liaison officer to manage relationships with communities and stakeholders.
- Lead the coordination and delivery of social value initiatives relating to employment, educational outreach, volunteering and supply chain support.
- Monitor, measure and report on social value outcomes including employment, supply‑chain spend, volunteering and early careers.
- Ensure delivery in line with client requirements, standards and the Mott MacDonald Bentley approach.
- Collaborate across teams including HR, sustainability, procurement, projects and communications.
- Promote social value internally through training and communications.
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation and delivery against commitments.
- Be part of our wider network of practitioners.
What you’ll need:
Essential
- Proven experience delivering social value in construction or infrastructure.
- Detailed understanding of social value frameworks and platforms, particularly the TOMs System and the Social Value Portal.
- Strong understanding of outcomes‑based delivery.
- Experience contributing to large‑scale programmes or frameworks.
- Ability to collate and analyse data and evidence impact through reporting.
- Skilled at communicating confidently, with strong interpersonal abilities, and able to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Highly organised and able to work on your own initiative, managing priorities across multiple projects and time effectively.
Desirable
- Experience in the UK water or utilities sector.
- Experience working in Alliance/Enterprise programme delivery models.
