Senior Electrical Engineer in Glasgow

Mott MacDonald Bentley is a fully integrated design and build business that delivers projects in the water sector, primarily within the UK.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review electrical engineering designs for water treatment equipment, including Motor Control Centres, LV distribution systems, cabling, instrumentation, industrial networks, PLCs and SCADA.
• Produce and review technical specifications and procurement schedules, and assess supplier tender bids and technical submissions.
• Supervise and mentor graduates and junior engineers, assisting in their development.
• Apply and contribute to design standards, with a good knowledge of Client and WIMES standards.
• Engage positively with clients, building relationships and supporting client objectives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Chartered or incorporated member of a professional institution (e.g., ICE, IMechE) or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience delivering high‑quality outputs in accordance with design, quality and safety standards.
• Effective communication skills with team members and stakeholders.
• Methodical approach to problem solving.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the operational region.
