Mott MacDonald Bentley is recruiting for a Process Engineer to join the Anglian Alliance.

What will you do as our Process Engineer?

In our Water Non-Infrastructure team, you\’ll collaborate with the project design team to develop process solutions, focusing on optimized plant performance, standard designs, and engineering standards.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design processes for Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants and water systems aligned with Anglian Water\’s goals for customers, environment, and efficiency. Produce technical deliverables including:
  • Technical schedules and data sheets
  • Engineering calculations (hydraulic, pump, mass balance, RICS, etc.)
  • Specifications for engineering subcontracts
  • Technical bid analysis in coordination with supply chain

Oversee process calculations, hydraulics, unit processes, pump calculations, capacity assessments, and technical bid evaluations of third-party process equipment.

Communicate effectively across all levels to ensure technical excellence. Escalate issues impacting time, cost, or quality proactively. Support health & safety standards, ensuring designs comply with CDM Regulations and best practices. Maintain collaboration with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration and share best practices.

Skills, experience, and behaviors:

You should have a degree in water/wastewater process engineering or related field, with relevant experience in process engineering for water, wastewater, and biosolids treatment. Strong communication, stakeholder management, IT skills, and a collaborative approach are essential to deliver high-quality process facilities and drive innovation.
