I'm looking for an AndroidEngineer to join our Mobile Engineering group and help us build a best-in-class experiencefor our Sellers. This is a great opportunity to join a talented and supportive team, working alongsideengineers, product managers and designers to fundamentally change the way people selltheir car. You'll contribute to meaningful features used by customers across the UK, developyour technical skills and explore the latest tools and technologies—with AI increasinglyembedded in how we build and work. About the roleAs an Android Engineer, you'll take ownership of well-defined features and contributethroughout the development lifecycle, from early ideas through to release and iteration. Collaborating with designers, product managers and other engineers to build high-quality customer experiences. Designing, building and shipping Android features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. Contributing to the development of our in-house Server-Driven UI framework, helping us deliver features and dynamic experiences more quickly. Supporting and improving our mobile infrastructure, including CI/CD pipelines withGitHub Actions, Google Play deployment workflows and automated UI testing. Writing clean, maintainable and well-tested code. Building an understanding of the backend systems and APIs that power our app. Monitoring released features and helping to resolve issues when they arise. Contributing to the engineering standards and practices used across the Mobile Engineering group. Commercial experience building Android applications. Good knowledge of Kotlin and modern Android development. An understanding of common mobile development principles, patterns and testing practices. Experience building and releasing features as part of a collaborative product team. You care about building polished, reliable and accessible mobile experiences. You're interested in using modern technologies, including AI, to improve products and engineering workflows. BonusYou don't need to tick every box, but it would be helpful if: You have experience with Server-Driven UI.You have worked with A/B testing or experimentation. You have some exposure to CI/CD and automated mobile testing. You have integrated ML or AI-powered functionality into an app. You have experience or an interest in backend or full-stack development.
