MotorSport Vision (MSV) is looking for an enthusiastic, driven and commercially minded Food & Beverage Manager to lead the retail, hospitality and front of house operations at Donington Park.

Donington Park offers a diverse range of food and beverage services, from the Garage 39 retail outlet and over 40 VIP suites within the Redgate Building to two corporate hospitality floors in the Goddards Building. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a varied operation, leading from the front, developing a strong team and continually raising standards across the department.

Working closely with the Head Chef, Circuit Manager and Group Catering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, coordination and delivery of race day hospitality, corporate events, conferences, track hire activities and seasonal functions. Combining hands-on operational leadership with event coordination, no two days will be the same.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the day to day front-of-house and retail operations, ensuring consistently high standards of service, presentation and customer experience
  • Working alongside the Head Chef to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the wider Food & Beverage department
  • Coordinating hospitality and event delivery across Donington Park's suites, corporate hospitality facilities and retail outlets
  • Acting as a key point of contact for hospitality clients and annual suite holders, managing everything from initial enquiries and show rounds through to event delivery and post-event feedback
  • Planning staffing requirements, producing rotas and managing labour deployment within agreed budgets
  • Leading the recruitment, induction, training and development of permanent and casual catering staff
  • Line managing Front of House Supervisors, Team Leaders and hospitality event teams, promoting a positive culture of teamwork, accountability and excellent customer service
  • Working closely with internal departments, including Track Hire, MSVT, MSVR, Circuit Operations and Hospitality Sales, to coordinate event requirements and ensure successful delivery
  • Preparing event function sheets, staff briefings and operational documentation, ensuring all relevant teams are fully informed
  • Managing stock control, purchasing, cash handling, banking and event financial returns, maintaining accurate records and effective cost control
  • Maintaining food safety, health and safety, licensing and company compliance standards across all areas of responsibility
  • Overseeing the maintenance and servicing of front of house equipment, liaising with approved contractors and suppliers where necessary
  • Maintaining accurate menus, pricing and operational information across EBES and other business systems
  • Monitoring customer feedback and complaints, ensuring issues are resolved professionally and opportunities for improvement are identified

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous management / supervisory experience within catering, hospitality, food and beverage or event operations
  • Proven experience leading large teams within a busy, customer facing environment
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple events and competing priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to liaise with clients, colleagues and external suppliers
  • Experience managing staff rotas, labour budgets and operational resources
  • Good commercial awareness, including experience with stock control, cash handling and financial reconciliation
  • A strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, allergens and health and safety requirements
  • A relevant Food Safety and Hygiene qualification
  • Good IT skills, ideally with experience using EPOS systems
  • A proactive, hands-on approach, with the ability to motivate teams and lead by example
  • A high level of attention to detail and a genuine commitment to delivering excellent customer service

The following would also be advantageous:

  • Experience working within motorsport, sporting venues, racecourses or large-scale event environments
  • A Personal Licence
  • An IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification
  • A relevant hospitality or management qualification
  • Experience using EBES or similar EPOS and catering management systems
