Head of Safeguarding – Lead the Charge for Safety in Motorsport
Motorsport UK is looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Safeguarding to join our team and lead the safeguarding function across all disciplines of motorsport. Based at our headquarters in Bicester, this senior role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved in our sport.
The Impact You’ll Make
As Head of Safeguarding, you’ll lead the development and implementation of a robust safeguarding strategy to ensure motorsport remains safe, fair, and fun for all. You’ll manage a dedicated team of professionals and oversee safeguarding activity across our network of clubs, venues, volunteers, and regional associations.
Your role will involve designing policies, auditing safeguarding compliance, and embedding a culture of safety throughout the motorsport community. You’ll provide expert advice on sensitive cases, oversee training programs, and collaborate with external agencies to ensure best practices are maintained. By championing safeguarding at every level, you’ll empower everyone involved in motorsport to feel protected and supported.
Your Skills and Experience
You’ll bring significant safeguarding experience and a proven track record of developing and implementing safeguarding strategies at a senior level. Your knowledge of child protection laws, safe recruitment practices, and broader safeguarding legislation will be second to none.
A skilled leader, you’ll have experience managing teams, influencing stakeholders, and working collaboratively across complex organisations. You’ll be calm under pressure, have excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and confidentiality.
