Join Our Team as a Club & Volunteer Administrator at Motorsport UK! We are looking for two enthusiastic and organised Club & Volunteer Administrators to join our Club & Volunteer Development Team:
- 1 x Permanent, Full-Time Role
- 1 x 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (starting July)
The Club & Volunteer Development Team is at the heart of supporting and developing the motorsport community. We promote quality, continuous improvement, teamwork, and high performance by coordinating learning and development opportunities for volunteer Marshals and Officials, as well as supporting Regions and Clubs across the UK.
The Club & Volunteer Administrator plays a key role in supporting the development and day-to-day engagement of Clubs and Volunteers. The role contributes to initiatives that strengthen capability, sustainability, and effectiveness, while also providing responsive support and guidance to ensure a smooth and positive experience. Through this, the position helps ensure that motorsport remains safe, fair, inclusive, and enjoyable for all.
Primary Objectives
- Provide general administrative and day-to-day support to the Club & Volunteer Development Team, ensuring effective communication and smooth handling of enquiries.
- Offer clear guidance and support to Clubs and Volunteers across a range of processes, helping to deliver a positive and consistent experience.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of initiatives and campaigns that support recruitment, engagement, and development, aligned with organisational priorities.
- Assist in maintaining resources, records, and systems, ensuring information is accurate, accessible, and up to date.
- Support the coordination and delivery of events, training, and activities, including communications and logistical arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and operational support across a wide range of Club, Volunteer and StreetCar activities, helping to ensure programmes, events, and initiatives are well organised and effectively delivered.
- Support the coordination of communications, outputs and engagement activities, including newsletters, bulletins, outreach and community updates.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records, data, and reporting across workstreams to support insight, decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the delivery of events, training, meetings and forums by supporting scheduling, logistics, documentation and stakeholder engagement.
- Provide support across key processes, including applications, renewals, awards, accreditations and funding activity, ensuring a smooth and consistent experience.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, Clubs, Volunteers and external stakeholders to support engagement, development and participation across the motorsport community.
- Maintain and update guidance, resources and systems to ensure information is accurate, accessible and aligned with organisational priorities.
- Provide flexible administrative support across the team, contributing to a wide range of activities as required.
Core Competencies
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, both verbal and written.
- Highly methodical with good organisational skills.
- Highly adept with both PowerPoint and Excel, and conversant with a wide range of project tools from Microsoft suite, Adobe products, SharePoint.
- Experience of working collaboratively with others.
- A demonstrable ability to work independently.
- Strong copywriting skills.
- The ability to demonstrate experience of problem solving and logical thinking.
- Confident with handling data and generating reports.
- An ability to work outside of core office hours on a regular basis.
- A full and clear UK driving licence.
- Authorisation to work within the UK.
Desirable Competencies
- An understanding of grassroots motorsport.
- Previous experience of working with volunteers.
