Join Our Team as a Business and Marketing Analyst at Motorsport UK!

We are looking for a data-driven and detail-oriented Business and Marketing Analyst to join our dynamic marketing team. This role will ensure that data and insight sit at the heart of Motorsport UK’s Marketing and Membership strategy, driving decisions, optimising channel effectiveness, and shaping long-term organisational growth.

You will transform data into insights that drive strategic Marketing decisions, enhance member engagement, and grow our community of motorsport enthusiasts. You will play a critical role in evaluating the performance of campaigns, understanding member behaviour, and supporting initiatives that promote event participation and Membership growth.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of data, Marketing, and motorsport culture – where your insights will directly influence leadership decisions that help us better serve our members. The successful candidate will therefore be a collaborative self-starter, with a keen eye for detail, a passion for insight, and the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.

Primary Objectives

The primary objectives associated with this role will be:

  • Track, analyse and report on performance data across all Marketing channels (websites, social media, communications content and email campaigns) – delivering dashboards, KPIs, and insights for the Marketing team and wider organisation.
  • Transform Marketing and member data into actionable insights that drive engagement, event participation, and strategic growth.
  • Aggregate and analyse data from wider organisational sources (CRM systems, event registration platforms, motorsport-specific platforms, Finance and Member Services).
  • Work closely in partnership with the Marketing, Commercial, and Member Services teams to align data insights with organisational goals.

Additional Responsibilities

In addition to the primary objectives listed above, the Business and Marketing Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Develop dashboards and visual reports to communicate campaign effectiveness and member engagement trends to stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs related to Membership growth, event attendance, digital engagement, and campaign ROI.
  • Provide actionable insights to optimise digital campaigns, content strategies, and event promotions.
  • Analyse member lifecycle data to identify trends in acquisition, retention, and churn.
  • Conduct research on motorsport trends, competitor activities, and audience preferences to inform Marketing strategy.
  • Benchmark performance against industry standards and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Contribute to the planning and evaluation of pilot campaigns, and new member initiatives.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of Marketing efforts for member engagement, growth and changes in demographics.
  • Support the Commercial team with reporting for sponsors and partners with data-driven insights on reach and engagement.
  • Evaluate customer segmentation and targeting effectiveness.
  • Own our member survey strategy collating insight and advising on survey best practice.

Core Competencies

Below are the core competencies, knowledge, and skills required to be successful in this role:

  • Degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in Marketing analytics, preferably in a Membership-based or event-driven organisation.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, SQL, Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI or similar.
  • Experience with CRM and Marketing platforms (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce, Mailchimp, Google Ads, Meta Ads).
  • Strong understanding of digital Marketing metrics, customer segmentation, and campaign attribution.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear and compelling way.
  • Sound analytical thinking with a passion for problem-solving and data storytelling.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
