The Field Application Engineer will support customers' use of Motion applied hardware, embedded software, off-car configuration and data analysis software. This role has a primary focus on software, including helping customers use our ATLAS ecosystem.

ATLAS is a real-time telemetry and analysis ecosystem used by engineers in F1, NASCAR, IndyCar, WEC, Formula E, E1 and other racing series. It provides teams with an end-to-end pipeline that captures high-frequency data from ECUs and sensors, distributes it through the ATLAS Data Server and the Kafka backed streaming architecture for low latency delivery to geo-dispersed teams, stores it in SQLRace (SQL Server) or Parquet for high-volume data analysis, and visualises it in ATLAS Viewer.

Integrated into daily operations, ATLAS facilitates real-time monitoring, diagnosis, analysis and decision making for trackside and remote teams. Its public APIs and open-source libraries allow teams to extend their infrastructure to ingest third-party data sources or automate post-processing in Python, C# and MATLAB, enabling highly customisable, data-driven engineering workflows.

You will interact with other departments across the company to help customers maximise the value of Motion Applied products. This role may include worldwide travel, unsocial hours and weekend work. You will represent the customer internally, to position positively and steer future development and influence the product strategy.

The role will focus on providing general support across the Motion Applied motorsport customer base, including customers competing in F1, NASCAR, WEC, IMSA, Formula E, IndyCar and MotoGP.
