Role Purpose: Responsible and accountable for part delivery from design release to OTIF component delivery, the role of the Operations Planner manages a portfolio of works orders, ensuring BOM dependencies and tooling requirements are fulfilled.
Main Duties:
- Scheduling, generating and managing accurate works orders through the factory in line with daily capacity to aid make versus buy decisions and maintain accurate delivery dates.
- Knowledge and insight on anticipated component and assembly lead times, working closely with key stakeholders to provide information back to planning teams.
- Accountable for parts being moved efficiently through production and ensuring any NCRs are resolved in a timely manner.
- Liaise and coordinate regularly with other departments and team members to ensure priorities are transparent and provide feedback on upcoming demands.
- Responsible for ensuring all sub-components required to execute top level BOM works orders are available for the manufacturing lines.
- Own promise dates and delivery dates commitment to the Programme and communicate with various levels of internal customers and stakeholders when corrections or push backs are raised.
- Work closely with the Production Schedulers to ensure that work lists are generated based on accurate priorities and delivery dates.
- Work with the Procurement team to expedite delivery of required works orders.
- Work with Programme Managers to ensure work orders are raised to meet the required part quantities for relevant target events.
- Aid with the raising of repair works orders during the triage of Class 5 parts.

- Ensure understanding of cost cap rules and requirements.

Qualifications and Experience Level:
- Proven experience in production control and scheduling.
- Background in engineering is desired.
- Understanding of modern Composite and metallic production techniques is desired.
- Ideally experienced in Motorsport either professionally or as a hobby.
- Degree level qualification in Production management is preferable.
- Knowledge of CI principles.
