Job description

Purpose of the Role:

This role involves participating in building and presenting the garage environment, support equipment, and individual car parts at and away from the McLaren Technology Centre. The position may require unsociable hours, short-notice shifts during high load periods, and extensive travel, including time away from home. Flexibility and security duties are also essential aspects of this role.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • The trainee role is varied and includes practical duties requiring mechanical, electrical, or IT aptitude, along with a willingness to learn.

  • The trainee must demonstrate attention to detail and communicate effectively.

  • Training programs will be provided to expose the trainee to areas such as support crew, sea freight, and air freight.

  • The trainee should be able to absorb information, follow instructions, and ensure security duties are fulfilled to protect company IP.

  • Operating forklifts will be required; training will be provided.

  • Experience delivering quality under tight deadlines with conflicting priorities.

  • Experience in a highly technical environment.

  • Ability to contribute to component fault diagnosis.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
