About DEXET Technologies

DEXET Technologies is a specialist engineering consultancy at the forefront of composite design, working across high-performance automotive, motorsport, and advanced mobility sectors. Our work spans some of the most demanding engineering environments in the world, where performance, precision, and innovation are critical. We partner with leading organisations including Formula 1 teams, endurance racing programmes, and global automotive manufacturers—delivering cutting-edge engineering solutions from concept through to production.

As a growing company, we offer a unique opportunity to join a close-knit, ambitious team where your contribution is visible, valued, and impactful from day one.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and curious Junior Associate to join our team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking to build hands‑on experience in high-performance engineering. You will work on the design and development of composite bodywork, structural components, monocoques, and crash structures, alongside metallic parts and assemblies, gaining exposure to the full product development lifecycle. This is a fast‑paced, technically challenging role where you will learn quickly, take ownership of real engineering tasks, and collaborate with experienced engineers on cutting‑edge projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing composite and metallic components and structures from concept through to production
  • Contributing to the development of bodywork, monocoques, crash structures, and structural assemblies
  • Creating high‑quality CAD models and engineering drawings (CATIA V5 or equivalent), in line with industry standards (e.g. BS 8888)
  • Supporting laminate design, including ply definitions, orientations, and material selection
  • Collaborating with analysis, manufacturing, and project teams to deliver efficient and manufacturable designs
  • Supporting prototype builds, testing, and validation activities
  • Working with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure design intent is maintained
  • Participating in design reviews and technical discussions, contributing ideas and solutions
  • Assisting with continuous improvement of engineering processes and tools

What We’re Looking For

Essential
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Engineering, or similar
  • Experience with CAD software (CATIA V5 preferred, or similar)
  • Understanding of fundamental engineering principles and technical drawings
  • Basic knowledge of composite materials and manufacturing processes
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
  • The right to work in the UK without the need for visa sponsorship
Desirable
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience (including internships or placements)
  • Experience in Formula Student or motorsport projects
  • Exposure to composite design, manufacturing, or testing environments
  • Familiarity with automotive or motorsport engineering processes
  • Interest in high-performance engineering and continuous learning

Why Join DEXET?

  • Work on real‑world, high-performance engineering projects from day one
  • Gain exposure to top‑tier motorsport and automotive programmes
  • Learn across the full product development lifecycle
  • Be part of a small, supportive, and highly skilled team
  • Fast‑track your development with hands‑on responsibility and mentorship
