Alpine Formula One Team is on a mission to return to the front of the grid, and we are offering a unique opportunity for a passionate and driven undergraduate to join our Software Engineering team at our Enstone headquarters. This internship is designed for students eager to apply their academic knowledge to real‑world challenges in Formula 1, contributing to the support and evolution of existing tools, as well as to create new solutions that impact car performance, race strategy, and engineering processes. You will be part of a collaborative team of Software Engineers, Data Scientists, and Platform Engineers, working together to improve all areas of the team—from car design and manufacturing to performance analysis at the track.

The Role

  • Support the development, testing, and deployment of software solutions under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Collaborate with engineers across departments to understand requirements and deliver software solutions.
  • Document and present findings clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Actively participate in the operational phase of our Software Development Lifecycle.

The Person

  • If you are currently pursuing a BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a related field and have a strong interest in the software development lifecycle and motorsport, we would love to hear from you!
  • Have knowledge of C# programming or similar imperative languages.
  • Have a proactive attitude and a willingness to learn in a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment.
  • Possess strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Can communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a team.
