Metrology is the backbone of precision engineering at Williams, and the space to find your place in true accuracy. Working with cutting‑edge tools – from micrometers to laser scanners and CNC measuring machines – the team verifies every component to micrometer precision. Spanning composites, metallic inspection, and non‑destructive testing, Metrology ensures every washer, wing, and structure is built to perfection, driving reliability and speed at the pinnacle of motorsport.
This Metrology Apprenticeship is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of every manufacturing process and the skills required to inspect the resulting parts. You will have the opportunity to work at the pinnacle of Motorsport for one of the most iconic teams in Formula 1 and gain hands‑on proficiency with a variety of tools, ranging from hand tools like micrometers and calipers, to advanced laser scanning of CAD surfaces, and programming CNC Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMMs).
The program includes rotations within our Composites.
