Our Marketing Team is the engine behind the energy, driving bold campaigns, unforgettable fan experiences, and a global brand presence across all our functions. We are on the lookout for a Commercial Engagement Manager who thrives in fast-paced, high-performance environment and take pride in delivering high levels of service to our fantastic brand design team.
Purpose
Set Oracle Red Bull Racing (ORBR) apart from the competition through helping secure innovative and market-leading partnerships, making our team the envy of the entire global sponsorship industry.
This role is for Manager – Engagement, who will support in initiating and supporting business meetings and dialogue with prospects, in the hope of converting them to new partnerships, taking ORBR into the next phase of our commercial growth. You will help realise the team’s ambition to become one of the worlds’ most revered and dynamic technology companies.
Alongside our sales agency and internal sales team , you will be responsible for the Team’s first direct engagements with brands and lead engagement programmes. Primarily, you will work with the wider department to help create a funnel of continued intrigue and interest around the team, through B2B targeting programmes, the formulation and promotion of storytelling via owned channels, navigating and mapping out interlocking directorates and business networks, profiling business leaders and their interests and funnelling towards the teams.
Putting the work into action, you will then manage and oversee, with support of our departmental team, external and internal networking events, intimate dinners, CXO Club series, prospecting events, hosting at the Technology Campus or trackside hospitality programmes to ensure leaders of the world’s largest blue-chip organisations immediately understand the power and impact of a partnership with ORBR.
The role is designed to work hand-in-hand with the wider Commercial team to maximise the organisation’s commercial revenue targets and for supporting continued on-track and off-track success and development of our estate by being the most creative and inventive thinker in the industry.
Responsibilities

Data / Research – the ability to map-out, discover and identify commercial targets through the analysis of data and existing connections, including revenue generating business models. Updating and moulding the Business Connectivity Hub, our own platform for cross-connectivity across our network.

Events – working closely with our events and operations teams to create unique events that attract the most high calibre leaders in the industry, whether intimate 1:1 engagements or networking events

Commercial Leads – responsibility for identifying genuine opportunities that drive commercial sales for the team in line with our targets and strategy

Strategy – Develop new ways to maximise revenues for the team for new prospects and incumbent partners.

Engagement Development – Working closely with Commercial Solutions on the continued evolution of a full suite of bespoke and tailored sales materials, proposals and presentations to suit the needs of individual companies

Prospect Management – Overseeing the maintenance of up-to-date records of all sales and business development contacts and activities.

Agency Management – Develop strong and trusted day-to-day links with agency contacts across commercial, licensing and research pillars, including our sales agency and B2B agency

Internal Reporting – Collate flash-reports quickly and succinctly to share with senior leadership
Qualities

Ability to build deep relationships with key stakeholders quickly with a persuasive flair

Prospecting / Sales background with proven track record in initiating conversations that lead to secure multiyear partnerships with global brands

Exceptional presentation skills both presenting in person but also producing sales literature and proposals

Ability to build strong relationships at C-suite level

Proven experience of working in sponsorship, marketing or a similar sale focussed role

Self-starting attitude and a proven track record of responding to tasks at short notice using both data-driven analytical thinking and creativity

Strong use of MS Office is required, including PowerPoint and Excel. The ability to use Adobe InDesign would be beneficial.
