About the Role

As a Graduate Aerodynamicist in our Applied Science Division, you will improve vehicle performance by developing aerodynamic concepts, using tools such as CFD to deepen our understanding of complex flow structures and to evaluate possible solutions to aerodynamic problems. Working collaboratively as part of a small team, you will apply your creative and thoughtful nature to a variety of stimulating challenges, interpreting trends, building insight and creating novel solutions. As a valued member of the Aerodynamics Group, your ideas will make a real contribution to the success of our non‐F1 projects. Supported and guided by knowledgeable engineers, you will see your skills develop. Immersed in a culture of empowerment and fresh thinking, you will take the next step in a successful career in your chosen specialism. This role is office based 5 days per week at our Factory in Brackley, United Kingdom.

Key Accountabilities

  • Developing aerodynamic concepts and engineering solutions for non‐F1 vehicles
  • Advancing our understanding of flow physics and complex flow structures
  • Surfacing, meshing and post‐processing your ideas using in‐house CAD / CFD tools and workflows
  • Enhancing the tools capabilities used by you and your colleagues
  • Analysing real‐world data and correlating it with design predictions

Candidate Profile

  • A good foundation in aerodynamic theory, through a degree in a discipline with relevant content (e.g., Aerospace, Mechanical, Automotive, Motorsport Engineering or similar)
  • Experience of aerodynamic design, application or research, gained through university projects, extra‐curricular activities or working in industry
  • An open and honest communication style and broad overview of your subject; you relish collaborating in a team setting and enjoy discussing technical concepts
  • Comfortable working on your own, applying your reflective nature, interpretive skills, attention to detail and dependable judgment to understand complicated situations then propose and evaluate quality solutions in a timely fashion
  • Keen to develop yourself and are excited about constantly learning
  • All assessments will be conducted in English: this is the primary language used across our Team, and you will need a good command of it to succeed in this role
  • A prior interest or involvement in motorsport is not required: we are more interested in your potential to deliver at the highest level, applying your skills and understanding to practical problems.
