Brooklands Museum is looking to recruit a full-time Assistant Events Manager to continue to push the organisation into pole position and race ahead to deliver and develop our successful, lively and exciting Events Programme at the birthplace of British Motorsport and Aviation.
This is a rare and thrilling opportunity to join us as we prepare for one of the most significant events in our history – the Centenary Grand Prix. This landmark celebration will mark 100 years of motorsport at Brooklands and promises to be a truly extraordinary occasion, attracting motorsport enthusiasts, families and supporters from across the country and beyond. The Assistant Events Manager will play a key role in helping to bring this milestone event to life alongside a wider year-round programme.
In this role, you will work alongside the Events Manager and our events team to plan and operationally deliver an engaging programme of events throughout the year whilst maximising our event commercial opportunities. You will support the promotion of venue hire activities, proactively seeking new opportunities with Car Clubs and maintaining existing Car Club and Exhibitor Portfolio relationships.
Experience of working in a commercially focused, high-volume fast-paced environment, or within a visitor attraction, events, customer-facing or hospitality environment, along with previous experience in delivering live or active events would be an advantage. The ideal candidate will possess a positive approach and a ‘can do’ attitude with a willingness to be flexible and ‘get stuck in’ as needed.
