Are you about creating safe, compliant, and forward-thinking project environments? We’re looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Health and Safety Adviser to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of safety at Williams Racing. In this role, you’ll support the evolution of our Health and Safety governance and ensure we meet our duties under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015). You’ll be a trusted advisor from project inception to completion, working closely with Principal Designers, Principal Contractors, and internal teams to ensure safety is embedded at every stage.

Key Responsibilities

  • CDM Guidance & Support: Provide practical advice to project teams, ensuring early and effective consideration of health and safety.
  • Project Oversight: Ensure robust arrangements are in place for managing CDM projects in line with client responsibilities.
  • Documentation Management: Review and collate key documents including PCI, CPP, and Health & Safety Files.
  • Site Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular checks to ensure compliance with legislation and internal standards.
  • RAMS Support: Assist in the creation and review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a key contact for clients, PDs, and PCs, ensuring seamless coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Safety Culture Champion: Deliver toolbox talks, support the H&S committee, and lead on incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • General Advisory: Provide expert guidance on a wide range of health and safety topics.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a health and safety advisory role within construction.
  • Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and client responsibilities.
  • Experience conducting site inspections, audits, and writing reports.
  • Confident communicator with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Skilled in reviewing and developing RAMS and safety documentation.

Qualifications

  • Level 6 qualification in Health and Safety Management.
  • CDM-relevant training (e.g. SMSTS, NEBOSH Certificate in Construction Health & Safety).
  • Background in construction, health and safety, or process safety.
