The Role
The Head of Programmatic will own the global programmatic revenue strategy and execution for Motorsport Network. This role is responsible for maximizing yield, driving sustainable revenue growth, and building a modern programmatic operation across a multi-brand, multi-market portfolio. This is a commercial role, not a pure ad operations position. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong commercial judgment and the ability to partner closely with sales, product, data, and editorial leadership. The Head of Programmatic will play a central role in defining how Motorsport Network monetizes its platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Strategy & Revenue Ownership
- Own the global programmatic monetization strategy across Motorsport Network’s portfolio.
- Be accountable for yield performance, pricing strategy, and revenue outcomes across open auction, PMPs, and programmatic guaranteed.
- Identify and execute opportunities to grow programmatic revenue through inventory optimization, demand diversification, and format expansion.
- Identify and execute opportunities to grow passive revenue through third-party partnerships.
- Yield Management & Optimization
- Lead yield strategy across display, video, and emerging channels, balancing revenue maximization with user experience and long-term sustainability.
- Establish best-in-class pricing, floor management, and deal structures across markets.
- Drive data-led decision making through robust reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
- First-Party Data & Privacy-First Monetization
- Partner with product, data, and technology teams to advance first-party audience strategy and privacy-first programmatic solutions.
- Help define how Motorsport Network differentiates its inventory through data, context, and audience engagement in a post-cookie environment.
- Support the development of premium programmatic products aligned with advertiser demand.
- Team Leadership & Operating Model
- Develop the global programmatic and yield organization.
- Establish clear ownership, processes, and KPIs across ad operations, yield, and partner management.
- Partner & Stakeholder Management
- Own senior relationships with SSPs, DSPs, and key ad tech partners.
- Serve as the internal authority on programmatic market dynamics, industry trends, and platform changes.
- Act as a strategic partner to sales, ensuring alignment between direct and programmatic revenue strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
- 8–12+ years of experience in programmatic advertising, yield management, or digital monetization within a publisher, media company, or ad tech environment.
- Proven track record of owning and growing programmatic revenue at scale.
- Deep hands-on expertise with SSPs, header bidding, PMPs, PG, and programmatic video.
- Strong commercial instincts and comfort operating with revenue accountability.
- Highly analytical, with the ability to translate data into strategy and action.
- Clear communicator able to influence senior stakeholders.
