At MoneyGram Haas F1 Team – known within the paddock as the ‘family team’ – you’ll be involved in many different areas of the team, have much wider visibility across the business, and will be able to clearly see your contribution to our team. Yes, you’ll learn from us, but we expect to learn from you too! General Summary: This position reports to the Financial Controller or their designee; is located in Banbury, UK. This role plays a significant part in financial reporting and tax compliance for the Haas F1 Team group entities. Key Responsibilities: · Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments. · Processing of general ledger entries including revenue, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and payroll. · Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. · Reviewing coding of purchase orders. · Assist in the calculation and processing of intercompany recharges etc. · Assist in quarterly reconciliations between Haas Formula Italia’s statutory ledgers and management reporting. · Assist in the preparation of annual statutory financial statements. · Assist in the preparation of detailed audit schedules for annual statutory audits. · Assist in the preparation of UK VAT returns. · Assist in the preparation of Italian tax compliance. · Assist with other compliance/reporting activities. · Assist with ERP system upgrades · Follow all safety regulations in all venues. · Other duties as assigned by the Financial Controller or their designee. Education and Work Experience: Ideally part ACCA/ACA qualified or working towards qualification, with two years relevant work experience. A solid understanding of accounting principles and practical tax experience is preferred, including dealing with tax authorities and professional advisors. Specialized Knowledge and Skills: · Strong communication skills, written and verbal. · Have an excellent understanding of English language. · Experience in a global environment strongly preferred. · Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills. · Strong internal controls knowledge and technical accounting skills. · Strong organizational skills to keep timelines and meets deadlines. · Ability to communicate and build relationships at all levels of the organization. · Willingness and ability to quickly learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities. · Work to a consistently high standard in stressful and time sensitive situations. · Quick decision-making skills whilst working through problems in a scientific and analytical way. · Work well within a team environment with personnel at all levels. · A sympathetic approach to your work colleagues and an ability to integrate within a group environment. · A can-do positive approach and a willingness to help others is essential. Equipment and Applications: · Solid computer knowledge, preferred experience in Microsoft Office products and ERP Systems. Work Environment Physical Demands: An ability to work and prioritize within a high pressure, time sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential. The role may require some occasional domestic and international travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends. This position may require lifting to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Fast-paced work environment requiring heavy mental demands. Work environment includes machinery, race cars, 7-post and other rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids.
