If you are meticulous, technically sharp, and calm under pressure — and you understand that modern motorsport is as much electronics as it is mechanics — this is the role made for you.
As our Electronics / Radio Technician, you will own the trackside electronics, wiring, communication systems and device reliability across the Hypercar Programme. You’ll ensure every electrical system, radio network and piece of garage equipment functions flawlessly — because any failure can cost performance, time or safety.
You will work across garage infrastructure, pitwall, radio systems, car-side support and event preparation.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing, maintaining and troubleshooting garage electronics, pitwall systems and equipment.
- Preparing, configuring and supporting all radio equipment for drivers, engineers and trackside team.
- Ensuring the car’s electronic components, sensors, connectors and looms are correctly prepared and maintained.
- Supporting the Systems Engineer with data hardware, logging devices, timing systems and telemetry equipment.
- Running pre-event and live-event checks on wiring, interfaces, data ports and communication systems.
- Conducting rapid fault-finding when failures occur — keeping the operation moving without delay.
- Maintaining documentation, labelling, version control and equipment databases.
- Ensuring all electronics follow correct safety, storage and handling procedures.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in electronics and communication systems within motorsport or a technical environment.
- Strong fault-finding capability — calm, methodical and accurate.
- Understanding of wiring, connectors, CAN systems, sensors and RF equipment.
- Ability to support high-pressure turnarounds and live-session requirements.
- Clear communication and strong teamwork with engineering, systems and garage personnel.
If you want to be the person who ensures every electronic system works exactly when it’s needed — this is the job.
