We have an opportunity for an Electronic Systems Designer to join The Cadillac Formula 1® Team at Silverstone. In this role you will be responsible for the design of on and off-car electrical and electronic systems. We aspire to be the absolute best in every aspect of our team. Team members are encouraged to challenge established thinking and share their ideas to create an environment where everyone can contribute to our shared success.
- Design of electrical harnesses and associated components, including definition of harness architecture, circuit topology and power distribution
- Support electrical installation design such as harness routing and packaging of electronic components
- Ensure electronic systems and installations fully comply with the FIA technical regulations
- Generation of technical documentation to support harness manufacture, car assembly, car operation and updates
- Support development of off-car systems, internal test facilities and rigs
- Resolution of electronic system faults

What do you need to bring to the team?
- Educated to degree level in an engineering subject or equivalent
- Experience with the specification and design of top-level motorsport wiring harnesses, including proficiency with electrical system design packages, for example Zuken E3 or VeSys Electrical
- Proficiency in electrical installation design using 3D CAD, ideally using CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE
- Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel
- Experience with the design of low volume prototype analogue and digital electronic circuits, as well as automotive electronic systems and communication protocols
- Clear and concise communication and ability to plan and manage own workloads
- Self-motivated, innovative and capable of working generally unsupervised to challenging deadlines
