What You’ll Do

  • Build, service & repair engine wiring harnesses & sensors
  • Development of build and test procedures to improve component reliability
  • Help to define wiring harnesses, sensors, actuators and equipment
  • Generate and maintain service workload planning to meet production requirements
  • Creation & maintenance of documentation to support the electrical activities of the business
  • Stock control of electrical components & consumables
  • Supervision of sub-contract wiring build & quality topics
  • Supervision and guidance of junior members of the department
  • Work alongside the Electrical Engineers to improve both current and historic harness & sensor assemblies
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments and external partners
  • Operate within cost and time-constrained environments
  • Understand and ensure system compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards
  • Support compliance with internal standards, ISO9001 QMS and ISO14001 topics

What we are looking for

  • At least 2 years’ experience working in a similar harness technician role (Motorsport, military or aerospace) or a Bachelor’s degree in Motorsport Engineering (or a related field)
  • Solid understanding of harnessing materials/products, build techniques, principles and systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical wiring diagrams, schematics and specifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with technical teams, clients and stakeholders
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with appropriate engineering tools
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional development within a technical environment
  • Awareness of health and safety standards and best practices within an electrical department
