What You’ll Do

  • Define wiring harness, sensor, actuator and equipment specifications.
  • Build, service & repair engine wiring harnesses & sensors.
  • Generate and maintain service workload planning to meet production requirements.
  • Stock control of electrical components & consumables.
  • Development of build and test procedures to improve component reliability.
  • Supervision of sub-contract wiring build & quality topics.
  • Supervision and guidance of junior members of the department.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments and external partners.
  • Operate within cost and time-constrained environments.
  • Understand and ensure system compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards.
  • Creation & maintenance of documentation to support the electrical activities of the business.
  • Liaise with suppliers and support supply chain management issues.
  • Support compliance with internal standards, ISO9001 QMS and ISO14001 topics.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or a related field) or equivalent demonstrable practical experience.
  • Qualified in 18th edition IET wiring regulations (preferred but not essential).
  • Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles, systems and design practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and specifications.
  • Time-served / apprenticeship in the motorsport electrical / wiring industry.
  • Previous experience of automotive or military electrical wiring and related systems.
  • Experience with Raychem System25 products highly desired.
  • Experience with planning, coordination and delivery of electrical activities with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with technical teams, clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with appropriate engineering tools.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional development within an engineering or project-focused environment.
  • Awareness of health and safety standards and best practices in electrical engineering projects.
