About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Dimensional Quality Inspector on the night shift. As a Dimensional Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for the efficient inspection and verification of components, to ensure adherence to specification, in accordance with defined procedures and priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspecting in-process and finished components to tight tolerances.
- Performing dimensional validation checks of jigs, patterns, moulds and car components.
- Ability to understand and interpret drawings, defined operating procedures and work instructions.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Working responsibly and proactively in compliance with the teams reporting structure.
- Flexible approach to working to support departmental needs with short lead times, within a fast-paced environment.
- Working within defined Company Health and Safety guidelines.
Knowledge and Expertise
- Experienced in the use of Absolute Arms.
- Experienced in the use of Leica Trackers
- Operating and running CMM machines.
- Efficient use of other inspection equipment. Shadow graph, Hardness tester, Micrometers.
- Practical and working knowledge of G.D & T.
- In depth knowledge of Polyworks software for Absolute arm and Leica scanner.
- Pc-Dmis software for Absolute arms (highly advantageous).
- Pc-Dmis programming on CMM (highly advantageous).
- Understanding of ERP software (highly advantageous).
- Composite experience would be advantageous.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Enthusiastic and dependable with a strong working relationship across departments.

The successful candidate will possess relevant qualifications and have a strong working knowledge of engineering drawings with a conscientious mind-set and a keen eye for detail.
