M-Sport UK is a world‑leading motorsport engineering company, responsible for designing, building, and running high‑performance competition cars for global motorsport events. We are now looking for two Parts Assistants to join our Engines and Electrical departments and support our busy production teams. As a Parts Assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our technicians have the right components at the right time. You’ll work in a clean, professional environment supporting either our Engines or Electrical departments. This is a great opportunity for candidates local to the area who are organised, reliable, and interested in contributing to the success of our team – no previous motorsport experience required. This role would suit school leavers, career starters, or returners to work.
The role in the Electrical department can be filled on a full or part-time basis and a flexible approach to hours can be considered for the right candidate. The role and responsibilities include:
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, part usage, and documentation.
- Support technicians and department head with the availability of required components.
- Ensure all parts are prepared and dispatched on time for events and test programmes.
- Liaise with internal teams to manage lead times and resolve queries.
- Assist with maintaining databases and records to ensure traceability of components.
- Picking build kits for internal and external use.
- Communicating with our Goods In/Out department on stock/component movements.
Department Options:
- Engines: mechanical components, fasteners, consumables and engine parts.
- Electrical: wiring, connectors, looms, labelling and small electrical components.
We’re looking for a self‑motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. The ideal candidate will be:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and administrative skills.
- Skilled in multitasking and prioritising workloads under pressure.
- Computer literate with strong MS Office skills and experience using stock control systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
- A proactive team player who communicates effectively and thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in stock control, parts coordination, or an administration role would be desirable, but training will be provided.
