ABOUT THE ROLE
At M-Sport UK, we’re at the forefront of global motorsport – from tackling gravel stages in the World Rally Championship to the sand dunes in the World Rally Raid Championship and beyond. We are looking to grow our new in‑house Bodywork Department, which plays a key role in delivering the lightweight, high‑performance components that help our cars compete and win on the world stage. As part of this role, you’ll be a key member in producing and preparing high‑quality bodywork and composite components for our motorsport programmes, working to exacting standards to ensure optimum performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and trim carbon fibre and composite components.
- Perform strip down, inspection and repairs following each event and report any faults to meet tight deadlines.
- Work from technical drawings and patterns to ensure accuracy.
- Support the repair and maintenance of carbon fibre and GRP panels.
- Prepare components for painting and final fitment.

We’re looking for a self‑motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. The ideal candidate will be:
- Educated to a technician level, with a thorough understanding of bodywork, composites, motorsport, or a related field.
- Able to read and interpret technical drawings and follow build documentation.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Skilled in multitasking and prioritising workloads in a time‑sensitive environment.
- Excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for problem solving.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience working as a panel technician, road car mechanic, or motorsport technician.
