As a Graduate Design Engineer, you will design, develop and implement innovative mechanical / composite components and systems. Working collaboratively as part of a small team, you will apply your creative and thoughtful nature to a variety of stimulating challenges. As a valued member of the Design Group, your ideas will make a real contribution to the success of our Applied Science projects.
Key Accountabilities- Designing innovative mechanical and composite components and systems
- Owning projects from concept, through design and testing to implementation
- Supporting senior engineers on larger, more complex initiatives
- Generating 3D models, assemblies and 2D drawings, including defining and documenting manufacturing information
- Improving existing processes and introducing new capabilities

This role is office-based, at our campus in Brackley, United Kingdom.
Technical Skills and Experience Required- A degree in a relevant engineering discipline. Examples could include: Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace or Motorsport Engineering, or similar
- Experience of mechanical and / or composite design, gained through academic projects, extra-curricular activities or working in industry
- Proficiency using a CAD package – we use 3DX, and will give you appropriate training
- An interest in mechanical and composite design, materials, and manufacturing techniques
Your commitment and diligence have yielded good university results: you have completed, or will soon be completing, a relevant course of undergraduate or post-graduate study and you have a good appreciation of the relevant technical subject matter. With an open and honest communication style, you relish collaborating in a team setting and enjoy discussing technical concepts. You are equally comfortable working on your own: applying your reflective nature, interpretive skills, attention to detail and dependable judgment to understand complicated problems then propose and evaluate viable solutions in a timely fashion. Looking to fulfil your potential, you are excited about constantly learning while fostering the understanding of others. A prior interest or involvement in motorsport is not required: we are more interested in your potential to deliver at the highest level, applying your skills and understanding to practical challenges.
